Hey Cats,

I am preparing for my visit the ass doctor on Monday! What a wonderful way to spend my day off! Anyway I look forward to seeing you all on Wednesday. Mandy, I will probably come from school around 5:30 if that is okay. Scott will have to come around 7:15, if that is not too late. I figured we would visit for awhile! Other boys will be there right?? Let me know!

A three-armed Lizzy

Today I found myself wiping Kenna's bottom with one hand while holding Duncan with the other arm as he nursed. Despite its awkwardness it was a motherhood 'first' for me and in my mind I celebrated my clever dexterity. God should have given women three arms. Our multi-tasking brains are too sophisticated for our two-armed bodies.

Mrs. Eubanks used to say, "Necessity is the mother of invention." It's time to invent a device that attaches a third arm to one's body. I'll store this idea in my brain under the file titled, 'Ridiculous Inventions To Accomplish Someday'--right along with my bacon-scented candle idea.

What were we thinking?

I was at the post office today and as I was waiting in line I happened to notice a sign on the wall that read, "Let's Keep The Mail Safe!" Under the caption were various pictures of unsafe items that you shouldn't send in the mail--you know...hazardous chemicals, fire arms, explosives, pressurized canisters. To my relief I did not see any cow patties pictured on the poster...whew!

Cats,

I can bring a dessert of some kind on Wednesday. Any cravings or suggestions. Also, I took Eliana for her six month check up and she weighs 20 pounds. The doctor was really nice, he just said she was "robust" for her age. Gabe only weighs 29 pounds!! Anyway see you soon!

Back in the Land of the Living...

Hey Cats, sorry for the lack of posts, i have had the virus of death the last couple of days. I have spent way too much on or in front of the toilet. So i spent today cleaning up after my husband who cannot multitask when he has the kids to himself. The house was pretty trashed, but i can't complain b/c he has job flexible enough to take the time off at a moment's notice.

Anyhoo, i am up for anythin the week of Homecoming. Wednesday night is cool with me. I found a spinach dip i want to make so i will contribute that to add to the pizza meal. We need a dessert and a veggie and some drinks. Fulty you should do drinks since you are the out of town traveler w/out a kitchen. I can't wait to see everyone!!

Quick story. Yesterday Daniel had Ava standing up on her changing table blowing her nose. She can really blow her nose. There is no way Atley can do it as hard as i try he always just snorts. One time i put the tissue over his nose and asked him to blow and he just looked at me and said, "Oink." Anyhow, back to the story at hand; Ava blew her nose then looked at Daniel and said, "Daddy, i got skills." Skills was pronounced "skeelz." It was pretty funny. Daniel Watson must be her ghetto dad...

Love you cats!

Wednesday night plans

Ok...here's the scoop. I plan on leaving Indy early on Wednesday morning--Lord willing (we all know how hard it is to leave the house when we want to especially when we have children in tow). It is my desire to be in Knox by early afternoon. I'll be heading to Byrd's house as that is where the kids and I will be staying. Let's just plan on everyone coming over when they can and we can eat dinner around 6-6:30. Unfortunately Klepper won't be joining us :( She has volleyball and school the next day...she hates us :) (that was for byrd)

We can chill at Byrd's and leave when you need to. Let's do pizza (an easy kid-friendly food) plus, maybe each of us could bring another easy side...chips, fruit, drinks, whatever.

We also have to do pictures! Can anyone say, "Herding Cats!"

Hope you all are well. I miss you guys and am thankful for the friendship that we are able to maintain despite distance--I have yet to establish this with many other people.

Any thoughts or suggestions--post!

Another one bites the dust!

Kitties, Kitties, Kitties...(shaking my head). We're becoming those women I remember seeing at Homecoming while I was a student who have a billion babies in tow and drive mini-vans! We're old mommas now!

Kenna's sitting next to me in one of her little chairs with a huge tin in front of her that I use to put an alarm clock on in our spare bedroom. She says that the alarm clock is her "puter". Boy, they sure mimic everything that we do!

Eli graduated from JBC with a missions degree and I graduated with a youth ministry degree--but lately I feel like we should have left with counseling diplomas. We have been doing so much "burden bearing" for people up here lately. I feel inadequate and completely out of my league but God must be doing something through us.

I haven't heard from Klepper--she must have vanished into thin air--anyway, it looks like Wednesday night is our only option if we want to see Fulty. Vanessa, you mentioned Thursday--can you do Wednesday instead? What about Byrd and Bets--Wednesday fine for you? I'll try phoning Klep again today or tomorrow. Byrd is your house still open for us to congregate?

Well,
I need to go
Let me know if Wednesday is going to work

i'm joining the ranks...

well, it's official. we are mini-van owners. we traded in our sporty little black car for a kia sedona. wow, parenthood is finally sinking in.
things are going well up in ohio, we're just plugging right along. can't wait to get to tennessee, though. counting down the days.
our little ones are doing very well. they can both stand with assistance, and adeline will even take steps if we're holding her hands. they've just started eating cereal, and I can't handle it. it's so sticky and messy, and more of it comes back out than actually gets swallowed. I stop and wipe their little faces and bibs after every 2 spoonsful because I just can't stand it. how do you guys handle the messiness? it's stressful to me. then you have to change their bib, and their clothes, and their hands are gross, so their hair gets gross, then they touch you and your hair and clothes get gross and you have to change. and the snot, don't get me started on the snot. i guess it's all uphill from here, huh?
we will be at homecoming, but wednesday night is my only option, since we're coming home on thursday. hope we can make this get-together happen. miss you all so much.
it's always nice hearing what's going on in your exciting lives. love you guys!

reading old blogs

Sorry I keep posting blogs! I just keep thinking of things I want to say or tell. I went back through and looked at all the blogs I missed. I am so sorry, I really do feel bad for not making the time to blog and honestly just forgetting. Please forgive me, I will make a more concerted effort. I hope everyone is staying strong in the faith and not losing heart in this unstable times. Mandy, Scott and I will come to visit Crossings this Sunday. We are taking a sabbatical from BCC, (Did I spell that correctly)? OH yea, I went to ACSI, saw the Dr. T and went to a workshop. For some reason I started having flashbacks to integrated, broke out in cold sweats and almost crapped my pants. Oh well, talk to you soon

Cats,

By the way, I forgot, my sister is engaged!!!

Finger up the butt

Cats,

Please forgive my delinquency in blogging!! I am trying to get used to this working, being a wife, mothering two children, blah blah blah. Anyway all is well! Besides the fact that I may have internal hemaroids or an anal fischer!! Yes the joys of child-bearing. So I went to my primary doc last Friday just to get a referral for insurance purposes. I had to take Gabe because the appointment was at 4:00. I thougth surely he won't do an exam! I was wrong! Yes, my two year older witnessed the doctor put his finger up my butt! The kicker was Gabe was screaming for a piece of gum during the exam. I had a piece of gum in my hand to give him during the appointment. So picture me getting my butt examined and giving my child a piece of gum at the same time! Should I get a cookie for that or free lyposuction, or a breas lift? Anyway, that is my life in a nutshell! Everything is going well other than that! How about the other babies?? I hope to see you all during Homecoming. I am going to the teacher ed. workshop on Thursday, so Thursday evening would work well for me. Take care and love you all

New baby

Thought you Cats might like to know that I received a birth announcement from Mandy Popp. She and Cory just welcomed a little boy on the 19th of December. His name is Phinehas Matthew--the plan is to call him 'Finn'.

Hope everyone is well. I'd still like to know all your plans for the week of Homecoming so we can be sure to be together. I've heard from Byrd and Bets--any details from the other cats?
